Apply to Insomnia

Insomnia is a guild with the goal of enjoying the World of Warcraft. The guild is based on an ambitious atmosphere where its members work together to create an enjoyable environment for us all to have fun. Insomnia works together as one and has no place for those with their own personal agendas. Our strong sense of teamwork allows us to reach the otherwise, seemingly impossible, highest peaks of the game.

By applying for Insomnia, you acknowledge that you are not above any member of the guild and will not place yourself above any member of this guild. If you are in it for yourself or for loot, Insomnia is not the place for you.

Insomnia is a tight-knit unit of friends, working together to meet and defeat the challenges of World of Warcraft. By being a part of Insomnia, you are expected to be there for those around you to rely on, and to trust and be able to rely on those around you as well.

Make sure you are honest and that you take this application seriously. If you do not take this application seriously we will not take you seriously. This is your first impression - make it good.

Above all, we are looking for people who can play this game and their chosen classes at levels well above average. We want people we can depend on. We want people whose play schedules mesh with the majority of our current members. We also want people that are as dedicated to World of Warcraft as we are.

Our raid times are based around PST (Pacific Standard Time), invites go out around 6:00pm and we normally start around 6:30pm. The raid will continue till around midnight.

Making friends in the guild is a big plus. That way they can vouch for you and try to get you going with us during various guild events.

Basic requirements:

- Level 80.
- The ability to raid from 6pm – 12:00am Sunday through Thursday with a respectable attendance record.
- Enjoy both PvP and PvE.
- Display dedication and motivation.
- Be a team player, 'There is no "I" in team'.
- Have no fear of death, since dying is a big part of learning new encounters - this is something you shouldn't be afraid of.
- Have Ventrilo and a mic. If you do not like to talk on vent, you should still be able to reply when we need you to via Ventrilo.
- The ability to be able to complete certain things on your own: farm for your repair costs, get potions, etc. Time invested outside of raids is expected.
- A computer and ISP that can handle all raid content without issues.

Determination:

This is important. We aren't here to farm content we've done a thousand times just to quit when we wipe learning a new encounter. We spend hours upon hours to learn new encounters until we beat them. If this is something you do not wish to be a part of, please look elsewhere as poor attitudes during progression nights will not be tolerated. We have worked hard to get where we are - there are no free rides.

Tryout period:

Insomnia is a hardcore raiding guild. By applying, you realize that we accept only the most talented, dedicated and intelligent representatives of their class. If you cannot raid 4 nights per week, from 6pm PST to midnight regularly, then don't bother filling out the form. Upon the release of new content, you may often be needed to raid more than this.

Understand that we do not want to do old content... Thus, your application will be considered more seriously if you have current end game gear and are able to challenge the latest content with our best and brightest. However exceptional players will not be overlooked; if you believe your skill and game time would be best represented under our tag then by all means fill out the form. We do demand that you are at least geared to the best of your ability, this means that you will have resistance sets relevant to current end game encounters.

We do not appreciate applicants that have applied to a number of different guilds simultaneously, if you plan to join Insomnia you will fill out our form first and have the courtesy to discuss its status with our recruitment officer before you apply to another guild.

It is your responsibility to check on the status of your application. If you are serious in your desire to play with the Insomnia tag, it is within your best interests to show initiative on your part, as it will reflect favorably on you as a prospective guild member.

In certain situations group applications will be accepted, contact Kroxy to discuss if a group application is right for you.
